Charles Steeg Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by David J. Stianche Funeral Home on Jan. 5, 2026.
Charles Steeg, of Albrightsville, PA, a cherished husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away on December 31, 2025, in Lehighton, Pennsylvania. Born on May 20, 1953, in Paterson, New Jersey, Charles was a man of great character and warmth, whose presence brought comfort and joy to those around him.

Charles grew up in a loving family as the son of the late Richard and Jean (Stuhr) Steeg. He shared a special bond with his brother Richard and his wife Donna of Hasbrouck Heights, NJ, and his sister Ruth Drummond of Boerne, TX. Charles's life was further enriched by his marriage to Mary Ann (Durkin) Steeg, with whom he built a life full of love, laughter, and cherished memories.

A dedicated family man, Charles was immensely proud of his daughters, Corinne Durange and her husband Gene of Jim Thorpe, Alison Klinetop and her husband Kevin of White Haven, and Tracey Phillips and her husband David living in England. He was a beacon of wisdom and support for his grandchildren Steven, Alicia, Meaghan, Nicholas, Benjamin, Sophie, Jordan, and Mason, and eagerly anticipated the arrival of a great-grandson.

Professionally, Charles was known for his expertise as a satellite installation technician for Dish Network, a role he held for many years before his well-deserved retirement. His colleagues respected him for his skill, reliability, and the camaraderie he brought to the workplace.

Charles was a 20 year Army Reservist with Battery D In Easton, PA.

Charles's life was a testament to the values of hard work, integrity, and the importance of family. He had a knack for storytelling and could often be found regaling his grandchildren with tales of his youth and the many adventures he experienced throughout his life. His laughter was infectious, and his advice was sought after by many.

As we bid farewell to Charles, we celebrate a life lived to the fullest. He was a man who left an indelible mark on the hearts of all who knew him. Charles's legacy of love, kindness, and family devotion will continue to live on through the lives of those he touched.

Charles Steeg will be deeply missed, but the memories he created will forever be a source of comfort and inspiration. His spirit will continue to guide us, and his love will always be a beacon in our lives. Rest in peace, dear Charles, until we meet again.

A Celebration of Life will be celebrated at a later date.
