Charles “Chuck” Jeffrey Swanson, age 74, of Sebeka, Minnesota, passed away at his home on Wednesday, July 30, 2025. Chuck was born on December 4, 1950, to Marlin “Swede” and Ileane (Hanson) Swanson in Brainerd, Minnesota. He attended school in Brainerd and graduated from Brainerd High School in 1968. After high school, he proudly served in the First Battalion 194th Infantry Minnesota Army National Guard, where he achieved the rank of Lieutenant Colonel. In addition to his service, he worked for the State of Minnesota as Facility Manager for all armories in Minnesota, he was also a truck driver for Pohlman Transfer Company and as a residential carpenter in the Minnesota communities of Nisswa, Nimrod, Sebeka and in Kingman, Arizona.

Chuck is survived by his three children: Kate (Darren) Swanson of Brainerd, MN; Anthony Swanson of Pequot Lakes, MN; and Sarah (Trevor) Swanson of Fort Ripley, MN; brothers: Michael (Cathy) Swanson; James (Mina) Swanson; Douglas (Amy) Swanson; and Timothy (Jodi) Swanson; two sisters: Jan (Larry) Hoopman; and Karen (Paul) Everson; and a granddaughter, Adrianna Swanson. Chuck held a special place in his heart for granddaughter, Adrianna, the love of his life.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Swede and Ileane, grandparents Olaf and Adeline (Mathison) Hanson and Eva Ballard. ”
