Charles Tatterson Obituary

Charles Edward Tatterson, 91, of Canton Township, passed away in WeCare at South Hills Nursing Home in Canonsburg on Monday, December 22, 2025. He was born August 9, 1934, in East Liverpool, OH, a son of the late Dorrell Tatterson and Mildred Barnhart Tatterson. Charles attended East Liverpool Schools. He worked for 35 years as a lot attendant at the Meadows as well as working at John Sisson Motors in parts service and transporting for 35 years. Charles always enjoyed being sociable, having a good drink and meeting friends after a long day's work. He loved camping at Vacation Land Campground. He is survived by his dear partner of over 50 years, Loretta Haught Schwingel; stepson Larry J. Schwingel of Washington; stepdaughters Barbara Swihart of New Castle, Bernadette Long (Jim) of McQueeny, Tex., and Lisa Bell (Randy) of Houston; sisters Juanita Sterling of Dallas, Tex. and Alberta Bacque of Washington. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by sister Betty Lou Meyers. Friends and family will be received on Friday, December 26, 2025, from 12 to 2p.m. at William G. Neal Funeral Homes, 925 Allison Avenue, Washington. A funeral service will follow at 2 p.m. Interment at Forest Lawn Gardens will be private

Mr Tatterson was a very close friend of my father's he will truly be missed.

Charlie was a loyal employee for many years. He was always friendly to everyone and was always there for anyone who needed a helping hand. He was a special person to our whole family. Our deepest sympathy to Loretta and family. God Bless.
