Charles "Bear" Marion Taylor, age 68, of Fairview, NC, went home to be with his Lord and Savior, on Sunday, January 15, 2023 at his residence.
Charlie was born on November 19, 1954, in Spartanburg, SC to the late Wayne Andrew Taylor and Frances McKinney Taylor.
Charlie loved to help people and he decided to go to AB Tech and become a paramedic. He also joined the United States Navy and he served his country proudly during the Vietnam War. Unfortunately, after his time in Vietnam, Charlie had become disabled.
He was a Christian man and was of the Baptist faith. Charlie always had a caring heart, a big smile, and was a sweet soul. He loved the Lord and he loved sharing his faith. It was the most important part of his life. He loved to lift people up and he was always so supportive and just a loving and positive person to be around. He never met a stranger and made friends easily.
Charlie enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle, watching Nascar and was an avid classic car collector. Spending time with his family was always important to him and he loved and adored his daughter and granddaughter.
Those left behind to cherish his memory are his "Sunshine", daughter, Melissa Taylor of Asheville; granddaughter, Sophia Taylor of Asheville; brother, Michael (Barbara) Taylor of Black Mountain; sister, Jana Taylor of Beverly Hills, CA; mother of his child, and friend, Maria Taylor of Fairview, NC; and his beloved dogs, Lilly, Stella, and Roxie.
