Charles Edwin Taylor, age 97, husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather passed away at Providence Hospital in Anchorage. He was born in Luray, KS on June 6, 1928, to Leroy and Ida Bell (Sidebottom) Taylor.
He moved to Anchorage in 1971 and was a long-time employee of NC Machinery in Anchorage.
The family is holding a visitation on Thursday July 31(2 pm to 4 pm) and a memorial service on Friday August 1 at 10 am at Evergreen Memorial Chapel, 737 E Street in Anchorage. Followed by burial at Anchorage Memorial Park Cemetery. Danny Myers, Logan Myers, Justin Smith, Jerry Shull, William Kempkes, Tony Pense, and Brian Smith will act as pallbearers.
Charles leaves behind daughters Ida Belle (Jerry) Shull, Charlene Y. Hatcher, Grandchildren: Robert (Sabrina) Shull, PJ (Bill) Bister, Tony (Jackie) Pense, Laura (Justin) Smith, Amanda (Danny)Myers, Stephanie Hatcher, Missy (Shawn) Sousley, Greg Shull. Great Grandchildren: Tyler Pense, Justine Pense, Haleah Harris-Talbert, Brian Smith, Logan Myers, Katelynn Smith, Shawna Sousley, KC Sousley, Kian Shull, Rachel Sousley. Great Great grandchildren: Lynley Talbert, Charlie Smith, Zacariah Smith, Flynn Shull and numerous nieces, nephews, friends and coworkers.
Charles is preceded in death by his wife Gwendolyn Y Taylor, daughter Evie Pense, father LeRoy Taylor, mother Ida B (Sidebottom) Taylor, brother Victor Taylor, sisters Dorothy Uptain, Lois Padia, Charlotte Stanley and son-in-law Richard Hatcher
