Charles H. Turner, age 85, of Henderson, KY, passed away at 5:58 p.m., Saturday, January 18, 2025, at Lucy Smith King Care Center under the care of St. Anthony's Hospice.
Charles was a proud veteran of the United States Army. His distinguished twenty year career included tours in Vietman to his final years as a recruiter and career counselor. Charles was a man of great faith who loved the Lord. He enjoyed being outdoors fishing both at the lakes and the Green River.
In addition to his parents, Acie and Artie Turner, Charles was preceded in death by his wife Nova Turner, daughter Elizabeth Nunn, sons Mickey Turner and Charles H. Turner, Jr., granddaughter Leslie Nunn, and 10 siblings.
Charles is survived by daughters Renee Jones and Annette Donahue of Henderson, KY; sister Joyce VanBussum of Henderson, KY; 8 grandchildren: Amanda, Jacob, Joshua, Jason, Donna, Trey, Jessica, and Missy; 18 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandbaby; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to Charles's Life Celebration from 3:00 until 7:00 p.m. Tuesday and again on Wednesday starting at 9:00 a.m. at Benton-Glunt & Tapp Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, January 22, 2025, at the funeral home with Reverend Randy Durham officiating. Burial will follow at Bethel Cemetery in Hebbardsville, KY. Military honors will be rendered by the American Legion Worsham Post #40.
