Charles Warr Obituary

Charles J Warr died December 15, 2023. Charlie was born in the Irish Channel of New Orleans, LA on September 17, 1940.
He was an employee of Bemis Packaging for many years. After leaving Bemis, he became an employee of Rex Rosenlew International in Thomasville, NC. Eventually, he became the co-owner and President of Rex International from which he retired in 2000.
After Retirement Charlie resided in Trinity, NC, eventually moving to Greensboro, NC for the past six years.
Charlie was an avid golfer, golfing all over the world. He was a member of Colonial Country Club for many years. Then participating with a group of friends weekly at Jamestown Golf Course.
He leaves behind a legacy of love and memory that will forever be cherished by his wife, Rosemary, and his brothers, Ronald and Richard Warr of Louisiana, sons David and Darrel Warr and daughter Charlene and his step-children, Terri and Colin Madden, Julie and Rodney Safrit and Vickie and David Harden along with nine grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.
The family will hold a private memorial at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to AuthoraCare Collective (Hospice) as a tribute to the wonderful care Charlie received.
Charlie will always be remembered for his integrity, his love for his family and the many hours of entertainment of all who knew him.

I wanted to share my heartfelt condolences to the family of Charlie. I hope the fond memories are giving you some comfort at this difficult time. Charlie will be remembered as a great cook, great family friend, and for his sense of humor. We are all thinking of you at this difficult time.

My condolences to the family of Charlie Warr. I worked with Charlie at Bemis in New Orleans for many years. Today as I entered Whitney bank Charlie´s nephew Billy informed me of the passing of Charlie. I will keep your family in my prayers.

Dear Rosemary, and family - So sorry to hear of Charlie's passing. I know your hearts are broken. I remember him fondly for his warm welcome when we would visit with yall many years ago. Charlie cooked Louisiana style crawfish and I'll always remember that, because at the time I'd never heard of it, and it was so delicious. Rosemary, it's been a long time since we last visited, but I count you among my "old friends". Praying for the Lord to be your strength and comfort during these sad times ahead.
