Charles (Charlie) Moores Watt, 92, of West Harwich, formerly of Framingham, passed away peacefully on Saturday May 10, 2025, surrounded by his loving family.
Born April 18, 1933, in Rockville Centre, NY, Charlie was the son of Thomas Watt and Catherine (Moores) Watt. After graduating high school, Charlie was drafted into the Army and was stationed in Stuttgart, Germany. He then attended Farmingdale State College, where he received his associate degree.
Charlie married Marlene Brandolini in 1959 and moved to Framingham where they raised their 3 children. He began his career in Securities Trading at Moors & Cabot in Boston where he worked for almost 40 years. He became the President of The Boston Security Traders Association in 1975 and a General Partner at Moors & Cabot in 1976. He continued as a Bank Stock Trader at Moors & Cabot until he retired in 2000.
Charlie's family includes his beloved wife of 65 years, Marlene (Brandolini) Watt; their three loving children, Jeffrey Lockhart and his wife Caroline, Gregory Watt and his husband Tim DiPasqua, and Kristy (Watt) Regan and her late husband Kevin; two cherished grandchildren Kaelen and Mckenzie Lockhart who adored their Papa; and his dear sister Kathleen (Watt) Sarro, along with many very special nieces, nephews, and close friends. Charlie was preceded in death by his parents and his siblings, James Watt and Margaret (Watt) Rochford.
Charlie's family meant everything to him. He went above and beyond to make sure his family had everything they needed to succeed in life, no matter the cost to him. He had a love for life and sports, having grown up playing basketball and football in high school and college. Later, he loved playing golf and spending time with his good friends, with whom he participated in untold mischief. Charlie traveled to Florida, Alaska, the Bahamas, and Ireland, and was also fortunate to return to Scotland to explore his family roots. He loved sweets, gardening, and cooking for his family. It was rare that the freezer did not contain his frozen delicacies in containers labeled for his children. The neighborhood friends will greatly miss the 'Mayor of Gordon Road'. A true Legend who will be missed by all who knew him.
A Funeral Service will be held at Edgell Grove Cemetery 53 Grove St, Framingham, MA 01701, MA on Friday May 30th at 10:00 AM.
In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made in Charlie's memory to Tunnel to Towers Foundation or St. Jude's .
