Charles "Chuck" Watts, 66, of Westport, passed away at 10:46 p.m. on Sunday, February 23, 2025 at his residence. He was born on January 15, 1959 in Seymour, Indiana the son of Flannery Watts and Anna Hester (Roberts) Bass. Chuck had been a lifelong resident of Jennings & Decatur County and was a 1977 graduate of South Decatur High School. He was a veteran having served in the U.S. Army. He enjoyed tinkering with engines, reading the Bible and helping his family. He is survived by his daughter, Wendy Forwalt of North Vernon; sisters, Marti Watts of Hope, Freda Daraswad of Ellenwood, Georgia and Brenda Prater of Greensburg; brothers, Tom Watts of Columbus, Nate Watts of Louisville, Kentucky and Brad Large of Florida; his grandchildren, Grace, Faith, Hope and Shane. He was preceded in death by his father and his brother, Kenny Large. Funeral services will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 27, 2025 at Bass & Gasper Funeral Home in Westport. Burial will follow at Rockcreek Cemetery. A time of visitation will be held one hour prior to service at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the donor's choice through the funeral home.
