Charles “Charlie” Welch, 93, of Iuka, Mississippi, died on Monday, August 11, 2025, at North Mississippi Medical Center in Iuka. Charlie was a member of Trinity Baptist Church and did utility repair for Ford Motor Company for many years until he retired. His favorite hobby was taking things like vehicles and appliances apart and working on them. He also really enjoyed gardening and loved dogs. Charlie is survived by his wife, Bette Welch; his son, Mike Welch (Edwina); his granddaughter, ReAnna Barnes (Jeromy); his siblings, Elmo Welch, Dorothy Welch McDuffy, and Mary Welch Burlson (Clarence); his sisters-in-law, June Welch and Blondia Strachan; and a host of other family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Florence and John Quincy Welch, Sr.; and his siblings, Herbert Wayne “Cub” Welch and John Quincy “Bozy” Welch, Jr. Cutshall Funeral Home in Iuka, MS, is entrusted with the arrangements. Visitation is scheduled from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 13, 2025, at Cutshall Funeral Home in Iuka. Funeral services will follow at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday at Cutshall Funeral Home in Iuka, officiated by Justin Trickey. Burial will be in Cypress Gardens. Honorary pallbearers include Dr. Ben Kitchens, Todd Welch, Tracey McDuffy, Clarence Burlson, Johnny Mincy, and Randy McDuffy. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to your local animal shelter.
