Charles Willis Obituary
Publish in a newspaper
A proud Vietnam Veteran, Charles served his country with honor and courage. Charles was married to the late Beverly Bass Willis for 51 beautiful years. Their enduring partnership was a testament to loyalty and laughter. Beverly preceded him in death on June 22, 2025.
He was a father to Marvin P. Willis, Eric (Catrina) Dorsey, Tondaleya (Anthony) Lyons, Dorian Mahone, and Marcus (Nicole) Willis. He also embraced the role of surrogate father to Amanda (Royal) Williams and Katie Harrell, offering guidance, love, and support as if they were his own.
Charles leaves behind his brother, Schan (Erika) Willis, and was a grandfather to more than a dozen grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was also an uncle to a host of nieces and nephews.
Charles will be remembered for his quiet strength and the legacy of love he leaves behind. His memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
Visitation Wednesday October 15, 2025 from 9 a.m. until time of Service 10 a.m. at Williams-Kampp Funeral Home 430 E. Roosevelt Rd., Wheaton, IL 60187. Interment Thursday October 16, 2025 at 11 a.m. at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery Elwood, IL. Please meet at the Cemetery at 10:45 a.m. Promptly. Info @ www.williams-kampp.com or (630) 668-0016.
