Stan Wright, 76, passed away peacefully on July 11, 2025, with family members at his side. Stan was born on August 24, 1948 in Baltimore, Maryland. He was a 1967 Graduate of Eustis High School.
He spent many years working in the citrus industry as a heavy equipment mechanic and retired from Lake County on September 6, 2013. as a roads maintenance operator.
He enjoyed spending time with his family, woodworking, and fishing.
He was a stubborn-hard headed man.
Stan was preceded in death by his loving wife: Joan Wright; parents: Mary and Buck Dunn, his sister Jody Likley, and his nephew Daryl Strickland.
He is survived by his daughters: Rebecca (Dwight ) Dodd and Nikki Wright; his grandson, Christopher Dodd; his niece, Julianna (Nathan) Hall; his great-nieces, Lucy and Lily Hall; and his nephew, John David Strickland.
The family wishes to thank those who were involved with his care.
A gathering with a viewing will be held on Friday, July 18, 2025, at Steverson Hamlin and Hilbish Funeral Home in Tavares, FL. Immediately following the viewing a graveside service will take place at Tavares Cemetery in Tavares, FL. Online condolences can be left at https://www.steversonhamlinhilbish.comta
