Charles Zagar Obituary

Charles is survived by his wife Nancy Zagar (Wilkinson) of Wood River Illinois, his son Zachary Zagar and his daughter [Penelope], his daughter Jamie Holleran [Dan] and their children [Lauren, David, and Alexander]. Also survived by sister Beverly Zagar, parental in-laws James and Sarah Wilkinson, brothers-in-law Ronnie Wilkinson [Jan] and Ricky Wilkinson [Shirley], sister-in-law Patrice Zagar, and by several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents Louis and Lillian Zagar, and his brother Carl Zagar "Zeke".
Charles was born in 1948 in Hartford, IL and served in the Vietnam War. He married Nancy Wilkinson in 1977. He loved playing with all his young grandchildren and enjoyed watching his favorite sports teams the Reds and the fighting Illini. He helped those around him. He retired from Amoco/BP after working in both the Wood River and Whiting, IN facilities.
The Celebration of Life will be held at the Wood River Moose on November 9 from 1 – 3 pm.
He will be dearly missed.
