Charlie Franks Obituary

Charlie B. Franks passed away Saturday, June 25, 2022 at ProMedica Toledo Hospital.
Sharlie was born August 12, 1938 to the late Albert and Naomi Franks (Hill).
We can draw comfort in knowing that Charlie is resting in the arms of his Savior and Lord Jesus Christ accepting the Lord at a young age as a member of Mount Zion Baptist Church where he was baptized by the late Rev. Robinson.
A resident of Kalamazoo, MI for most of his life, Charlie and Leola decided to move to Tecumseh, MI where he retired from General Motors.
Charlie is preceded in death by his daughter Shelie L. Franks, parents and brother Verdell Franks.
Left to cherish his memory is Leola Franks (Daniel) his wife of 45 years; son, Anthony; grandsons, Jayton and Joshua Daniels, all of Kalamazoo; beloved brothers, Larry L. (Marie) Franks of Paw Paw, MI, Reginald (Debra) Franks of Plainwell, MI; Sisters, Debbie a. Franks, Naomi U. (Kenneth) Shotwell, all from Kalamazoo, MI; a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, family and friends.
Services will be held Thursday, June 30, 2022 at 11a.m. at First United Baptist Church (821 S Burdick St, Kalamazoo, MI 49001), where the family will greet friends beginning at 10a.m. Internment will immediately follow at Mount Ever Rest Memorial Park in Kalamazoo.
