Charles "Charlie" Michaud, or "Charlie Boy" as he was lovingly known, died unexpectedly April 20, 2025. He was 25 years old.
Charlie had an energy that was palpable. He invited everyone to join in for sports, games, or just a tussle or two or three. He loved the famous family Gamerama gatherings. He looked forward to the yearly one-on-one all-sport competition with his Dad.
Charlie was sweet in a mischievous way but always wanted you to know he was there for you - whether family or friend.
Charlie, like his brother Jack and his dad Chris and his mom Kelly, loved hockey. Loved it. And he was really good at it. He could flat out skate! If the puck was there, so was Charlie - #99.
He was instrumental in driving strong performance on a number of teams, starting with Royal Oak house hockey, through travel hockey, and on to competitive high school hockey on the Birmingham Unified hockey team. He made lasting friendships with the entire team. Charlie was also proud to be a 2017 State Champion in doubles tennis.
After college, he was bitten by the golf bug HARD, falling in love with the sport as a lefty; he was a natural. Charlie was an all-around athlete. One of the highlights was the day Charlie scored a hole in one while playing with his cousin and friend Danny.
Of course, for Charlie, family was everything. He had a close relationship with all of his grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
He is preceded in death by his Father, Chris Michaud, and survived by his Mother, Kelly Michaud, Brother, Jack Michaud (Fiancée Erin Colling), and many loving Grandparents, Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, and Friends.
Visitation will take place at Lynch & Sons Funeral Home, 1368 N. Crooks Road, Clawson, Monday, April 28, 2025, 4-7pm. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Holy Name Catholic Church, 630 Harmon, Birmingham, Tuesday, April 29, 2025, at 10am.
