It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Charlie Sanders “Sandy” Palmer on September 5, 2025, from advanced cancer.
A private graveside service will be held on Saturday September 13, 2025 at Carbonton Community Cemetery.
Sandy was born in Roxboro, North Carolina on October 6, 1952 to Clifton Earl Palmer and Mary Thomas Palmer.
He is survived by his daughter Shannon Marshall Huff; his sisters, Jean Palmer Kehnle and Patti Palmer Utley; and his brothers, Donnie T. Palmer and Scott Palmer-Perry.
Sandy grew up in Roxboro, but after his service in the Army moved to Sanford, North Carolina where he worked for Chatlee Boat and Marine. After his retirement from Chatlee he moved to Durham North Carolina to be near his brother Donnie and sister Jean.
Sandy loved working on any type of engine and tinkering with cars.
While we are mourning the loss of our brother, we know others are rejoicing to welcome him home.
