Michael Abrams Obituary
Michael Grant Abrams, 62, of Sanford departed this life on August 28, 2025. The family will receive friends starting at 1 pm followed by a memorial service at 2 pm with Pastor Scott Yow and Mission Preacher HSBC Greg Goodwin officiating. Both will be held at Rogers-Pickard Funeral Home. Family will hold a private burial.
He was born is Greenville, SC. Michael lived most of his growing up years in Sanford, NC where he enjoyed the love of drag racing and NASCAR. He learned a lot about this sport from JD McDuffie and enjoyed watching Dale Earnheart while drag racing his favorite car. Besides racing, he enjoyed watching a good football game, especially the Panthers and depending on who else was playing. He was smart with everything he learned and used those skills to help others.
Michael was preceded in death by his father Paul E. Abrams and mother Joyce Oldham. He was also preceded in death by a son, Scott Abrams and father-in-law Dale Butler.
Surviving is his wife, Jackie Abrams of 38 years; son Dustin Lee Abrams; grandchildren Ezra Abrams, Ava Abrams, and Katelyn Abrams; great grandchild Grayson; brother Steve Abrams; sister-in-law Lynn Willett (Troy Willett); and several nieces and nephews.
