Mr. Charlie Louis Roberts, 74, of Ruffin, entered into rest Friday morning, July 25, 2025, at the Colleton Medical Center in Walterboro. He was the loving husband of the late Shelly Hill Roberts.

Born June 14, 1951, in Walterboro, South Carolina, he was a son of the late Louis James Roberts and the late Eve Nettles Roberts. He retired from the South Carolina Department of Transportation - Maintenance Department and was a lifelong member of Shiloh Baptist Church. He will always be remembered for the love he had for spending time with his grands and great grands and the great anticipation he had for the great grandchild, Wrenley, that is soon to be born. He loved Pepsi and Honey Buns as well as watching Star Trek. Anyone that knew Charlie could expect on of his daily phone calls and the lengthy conversation that would ensue. He truly loved his beloved dogs, Coco and Max.

Surviving are: a son, Christopher Roberts; two daughters, Katina Roberts Addy (Kevin) and Chasity Roberts (Ron); three brothers, Jerry Roberts, Tommy Roberts, and Wendell Davenport; and three sisters, Sandra Davenport, Pam Roberts, Terrie Roberts; grandchildren, Thomas (Kaelyn), Heather (Shawn), and Tyler (Hailey), Haley, Carson (Zoe), and Skyler; and two great grandchildren, Addilynn and Aiden, He was preceded in death by a sister, Janice Nettles; and a brother, Terry Roberts.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11 o'clock Thursday morning, July 31, 2025, from Shiloh Baptist Church, 10565 Lowcountry Highway, Ruffin. The Reverend Ricky Crosby officiating. Interment will follow in the churchyard. The family will receive friends prior to the funeral ceremony beginning at 10 o'clock that morning in the church sanctuary.
