Charlott Ruth Mason

Charlott R. Mason, 83, a lifelong resident of Girard, died at 10:40 p.m., Tuesday, February 17, 2026 in Homestead of Girard.

Charlott was born October 1, 1942 in Girard, a daughter of Walter and Opal (Miller) Weber. She attended Immanuel Lutheran School near Hepler and graduated from Girard High School.

Charlott married Lester Eugene Mason on October 7, 1962 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Girard and Gene preceded her in death on October 24, 2024.

In her younger years she worked as a babysitter and later she worked at the Girard school cafeteria before retiring after 21 years.

She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Girard.

Survivors include her son, Ronald W. Mason, and his wife, Melissa, of Laramie, Wyoming and her daughter, Brenda J. Smith of Girard; her grandsons, Brock Mason of Laramie and Kyle McGeorge of Girard; her sisters-in-law Doris Weber of Girard, Elaine Weber of Girard, Ramona Barrow of Girard, and Mary Kay Mason of Girard. Numerous nieces and nephews.

Charlott was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her sons, Michael Eugene Mason and Timothy Scott Mason; her grandson, Dallas Mason; her brothers, Irvin Weber, Garnett "Pete" Weber, Clarence "Tony" Weber; her sisters, Sandra Pontious, Edith Vinduska, Cathryn Schlesener, and an infant sibling.

Graveside services will be at 11:00 a.m., Friday, February 27, 2026 at the Girard Cemetery Patio with Pastor Michael Hofmann officiating. Burial will follow the services and friends are asked to meet at the Girard Cemetery Patio.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m., Thursday, February 26, 2026 at the Smith-Carson-Wall Funeral Home in Girard where friends may call after 2:00 p.m., Thursday.

Memorials are suggested to family wishes and these may be left at the service or the Smith-Carson-Wall Funeral Home, 518 W St. John, Box 258, Girard, 66743.
