Charlotte June (Adams) Proctor, age 87, of Azle, Texas, formerly of Quihi, Texas, went to be with her Lord and Savior on March 20th, 2025 surrounded by her family.
Born November 5, 1937 in Wilson County, Floresville, Texas, she was the daughter of Oscar Sam Blum and Viola Violet Chamberlain. Charlotte always loved the country and lived on her grandfather's farm when she was a young girl. She moved to San Antonio, Texas in 1945, at the age of eight. She was baptized in faith April 15th, 1952.
Charlotte met Richard Wayne Adams in high school, and they married in February of 1954. They had two sons, Randy and Daryl. They bought land in 1971 in Quihi, Texas and built a home in 1976. Richard and Charlotte were married for 37 ½ years at the time of Richard's passing in 1990.
Charlotte loved being a wife and mother. She always said, her greatest achievement in her life was being a mother, and her greatest assets were her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She stated, "The greatest gift I ever received was my Salvation, from my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ".
Charlotte loved gardening, canning, sewing, quilting, and baking. She was a member of the Extension Homemakers Club, and Medina County Quilting Guild.
Charlotte worked at both Sea World of Texas and Six Flags Fiesta Texas for many years as Supervisor of Costumes & Seamstress. She designed costumes, wet suits and park uniforms for both attractions. She worked at Alamo Stitch and Sew in San Antonio for nine years, teaching sewing, quilting along with selling sewing machines. She was also an Assistant Plant Manager at James Avery Jewelry in Hondo, Texas for several years.
Charlotte married Lowell TL Proctor in October of 2006. They traveled to Hawaii, Italy, the U.S. East Coast, Northern Nevada, and Northern California. They were glad to have each other, and they did everything together.
Charlotte is preceded in death by her father, Oscar Blum; mother, Viola Ryan; husband, Richard Wayne Adams; son, Randy Wayne Adams; great grandson, Ethan Wayne Thrasher; sister, Betty Jean Holzer; brother, Vaughn Shreeve and niece, Cheryl Ann Reed.
Charlotte is survived by her husband, Lowell TL Proctor of Emory, Texas; son and daughter-in-law, Daryl and Michelle Adams of Azle, Texas; daughter-in-law, Arletha Adams of New Braunfels, Texas; granddaughters, Jordan Adams of New Braunfels, Texas, Amanda R. (Tim) Thrasher of Montgomery, Texas, Rebecca D. (Lance) Brown of Hutto, Texas; grandsons, Kephren (Jada) Adams of Watertown, New York, Kendle (Pearl) Adams of Killeen, Texas; great-grandchildren, Owen and Holden Thrasher, Dylan Preston, Bensen and Archer Brown. Matty, Zeke and Ziah Adams and Maisy Foss; niece, Terry Shreeve of Kingsland, Texas; stepchildren, Ryan (Sabine) Proctor, of Point, Texas, Keith (Sherree) Proctor of Kilgore, Texas and David Proctor of Ruidoso Downs, New Mexico; fourteen step grandchildren, Ryan Curtis, Mary Anne, Thomas Lowell, Rochelle, Jeanelle, Lynnelle, Clifton, Amanda, Cassandra, Tyler, Shawn, Marc, Briana and Scott Proctor.
Funeral Service will be Friday, April 11, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at Tondre-Guinn Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Quihi Cemetery in Quihi, Texas.
