Charlotte Eaton Bube, 74, of Jamestown NY, passed away on August 15, 2025 at the Gowanda Nursing Center in Gowanda, NY. Born September 30, 1950, in Ithaca, NY, Char was the beloved daughter of Donald B. Bube and Harriet B. Eaton. She grew up in Jamestown and graduated from Jamestown High School in 1968 where her love of the arts and performance shone brightly. As a talented member of The Thespian Society she appeared in Jamestown High School's plays and musicals. She sang in Madrigals and the A' Capella choir and swam with the synchronized swim club. She also swam competitively for the Jamestown Boy's and Girl's Club swim team and studied ballet at The Lorraine School of Dance. Char earned an Associate's Degree in Applied Science majoring in dental hygiene from Erie Community College. She enjoyed a career working for many years for Dr. Ronald Kohl. She made learning to ski a joy as a ski instructor at Holiday Valley and Peek 'n Mountain. She later followed another passion - sewing - which she learned from her grandmother during childhood summers in Kentucky. Her talent and creativity blossomed into her own craft sewing and seamstress business where her work was as unique and thoughtful as she was. Faith and music were constants in Char's life. She found fellowship as a member the First Presbyterian Church and spent summers singing alongside her father in the Sunday choir at Chautauqua. Char was a positive person with a gentle heart. She is survived by two sisters: Beverly (James) Dinsmore of Findley Lake, NY and Helen (Douglas) Nychka of Boulder CO; two nephews: Christopher Petillo of Boulder, CO and Everett Nychka also of Boulder, CO; two nieces: Alexandra Nychka of Denver, CO and Rebekah Grace Nychka of Vancouver, Canada. In addition to her parents Char was preceded in death by a brother, Kenneth A. Bube (September 29, 1979). Those who knew Char will miss her presence, chuckles and the way she made people feel valued and loved. She brought a quiet joy to the earth.
