Charlotte Ann Eklund

Charlotte Ann Eklund, born on September 23, 1941, in the heart of Wisconsin, was a beacon of kindness and joy throughout her life. She passed away peacefully on August 31, 2025, in the same state where she was born, leaving behind a trail of beautiful memories and a community enriched by her loving spirit.
Charlotte's early years were defined by the warmth of a close-knit family and the strong values imparted by her parents, the late John and Edith (Mortinson) Eklund. She grew up alongside siblings who shared in the laughter and love of their childhood home. Though she would eventually say goodbye to her sister and brother-in-law, Darlene and Dennis Lindstedt, and her sister Carol Hucko, the bond they shared remains a testament to the family's enduring connection.
Graduating from Peshtigo High School, Charlotte fully embraced life in her hometown. For countless years, she dedicated her hard work and compassionate heart to the Rennes Health Center West. A life-long resident of Peshtigo, she was a pillar of the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, where she found solace and strength in her Christian faith, often sharing insights during Bible study sessions with a smile that could light up any room.
Charlotte's impact on her community was palpable. She was a friend to many-known for her contagious happiness, her generous spirit, and her commitment to helping others. She always found time to contribute to the fabric of her community, embodying the purest form of kindness.
She is survived by her brother-in-law, Donald Hucko, Sr., along with a host of cousins, nieces, and nephews who experienced the depth of her love firsthand. Charlotte's legacy is one of friendship, care, and unwavering kindness that transcended the ordinary. Her passing leaves a void in the hearts of all who knew her, yet her memory will remain as a comforting presence.
As we bid farewell to Charlotte Ann Eklund, we celebrate a life that was lived with purpose and joy, a life that truly made a difference by simply being her authentic, loving self.
Visitation for Charlotte will take place Thursday Sept 11, 2025, from 11AM until funeral services at Noon at the Good Shepard Lutheran Parish in Peshtigo. Burial will take place next to her parents John and Edith at the Riverside Cemetery in Peshtigo. Pastor David Murphy will be officiating.
