Charlotte H Foley

Charlotte Helen (Rubin) Foley, of Palm Harbor, Florida passed away peacefully Sunday, April 23, 2023 in the home of her son, Michael Foley and her daughter-in-law, Angela Hilton-Foley. She was one month shy of her 98th birthday. Charlotte was born May 24, 1925 in Rahway, New Jersey, the daughter of Max and Rose (Levine) Rubin. A graduate of Syracuse University, she met her future husband, Roger Aloysius Foley, on the campus before he shipped off to World War II. Charlotte loved being a mother and grandmother, and also made it her priority to stay connected to her siblings, and her nieces and nephews.
As a child she grew up a fan of going to the movies and Broadway shows in NYC, and in her later years from home she loved watching movies and following her favorite actors and performers. Charlotte was always pleasant and never had a harsh word to say about anyone. She was considerate of others, gentle, supportive and kind – a true lady from the greatest generation, who was a blessing to all who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her husband and her siblings, Lionel Rubin, Gladys Patterson, Fay Falcone and her granddaughter, Molly Reid Trick Foley. She is survived by her sons Roger and Michael, her daughters-in-law Darcy Trick and Angela Hilton-Foley, her grandchildren Kate O'Hara, Matthew Foley, Steven Foley and her great-grandchildren Reid and Rose O'Hara.
A ceremony will not be planned at this time. Charlotte's cremated remains will be placed in the joint burial plot next to her husband Roger. A family memorial service for her may be planned at a later date this summer or fall.
In lieu of sending flowers now, we believe Charlotte's wish would be for you to use that money to donate to a charity, or to have a nice meal with a loved one and reflect upon the fond family memories we've enjoyed over the years.
