Charlotte Hitt Obituary
Charlotte A. Hitt, 86, of Bellefontaine, passed away Thursday, May 1, 2025, at her home.
Charlotte was born in Champaign County on March 6, 1939, to the late Harold E. and Bwana A. (Jones) Corbett. She married Garry B. Hitt on September 29, 1973, and he preceded her in death on August 12, 2015. Charlotte was also preceded in death by sisters Virginia Smith and LaVonne Woodruff, and a brother Charles Corbett.
Charlotte is survived by her children: Candice (Tracy Prater) Hitt and Parry (Lacy) Hitt; and 2 grandchildren: Garrett Prater and Grace Prater.
Charlotte was a member of McKee’s Creek Chapel, West Liberty, and enjoyed gardening around her home.
Pastor Chris Starbuck will officiate Charlotte’s memorial service on Tuesday, May 6, 2025, at 12 noon at the Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Home, West Liberty, where the family will receive friends two hours prior to the service from 10am – 12 noon. Burial will be at a later date in Mt. Carmel Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to McKee’s Creek Chapel, 4750 US 68, West Liberty, OH 43357.
