Charlotte Elaine Meeks peacefully departed this world on August 6, 2025, at the age of 77, in Fort Worth, Texas. Born on November 22, 1947, to Charlie Jim Johnston and Rosemary Owens-Johnston in Fort Worth, Texas, Charlotte was a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend.
She had a deep passion for gardening, and her love for animals, especially horses and her beloved dogs, was evident in every aspect of her life. Charlotte cherished the moments spent at the racetrack with her late husband, as well as the time shared at the deer lease with her family, creating lasting memories that will be treasured forever.
Charlotte will be lovingly remembered by her children, Robin Stricklin and her husband, David; Wanda Lopez and her husband, Robert; Charlotte Peterson and her husband, Bill; Robbie Evilsizer and her husband, Donny; and Chris White and his wife, Bri. She is also survived by her dear sister, Jimmie Gibson of Poolville, Texas, along with her cherished grandchildren; James Nance, Scott Peterson, Richard Stricklin, Mallory Dunaway, Morgan Peterson, Madison Evilsizer, E. Stricklin, and Jericka Childress. Additionally, she leaves behind eight great-grandchildren, all of whom brought immense joy to her life.
Charlotte was preceded in death by her parents, Charlie and Rosemary Johnston, and her brother, Charlie Johnston. Her family will forever hold her memory close and she will be dearly missed.
