Sandra Meeks Obituary

Sandra Marlene Meeks 72, of St Joseph Missouri, passed away Tuesday, August 12th 2025 at her home in St Joseph Missouri. She was down to Earth and a go getter with a love for life and was passionate about everything she did. Sandy was the assistant director at the local YWCA, where she started the mom's fun time program. She was also responsible for the opening of St Joseph's first woman's only halfway house. She had also been the co-owner of S&M Contracting, which she owned with her late husband Michael Meeks, whom she married on Valentine's Day 1993, and proceeded her in death on August 15th 2012. She was also proceeded in death by both parents, Thomas and Dorlene Stewart of St Joseph Missouri, one sister, Sharon Ferris of St Joseph Missouri, and one daughter-in-law, Cassie Leffler also of Saint Joseph Missouri. She is survived by her son, Jay Stewart and his wife Sarah Roettgen, as well as two brothers, Lonnie Stewart and Steve Stewart, and one sister-in-law, Sherry Meeks, along with numerous nieces and nephews.
