Charlotte Marie Nagy

Charlotte Marie Nagy, age 90, of Roscommon, died on Saturday, September 7, 2024, in Grayling, Michigan, in the presence and comfort of her family.
Charlotte was born July 13, 1934, in Rudyard, Michigan, the daughter of Waldon and Hilda (Ollie) Rudolph.
Charlotte married Ronald Nagy on June 24, 1961, in Rudyard, Michigan. Charlotte graduated from Spring Arbor College in 1971. She taught at Albion and Houghton Lake Schools, retiring in 1984. Charlotte remained quite active in her retirement by selling cosmetics, substitute teaching, and church activities. She and Ron enjoyed spending many winters in Florida. Charlotte was a member of Higgins Lake Baptist Church and loved singing Gospel music and sang with several choirs and duets with friends and family. Charlotte enjoyed flowers with a passion and always had several plants and bouquets around the house. She always loved spring, summer, and fall in Michigan. Winter was not her favorite. Later in life, Charlotte enjoyed jigsaw puzzles, following tennis, and talking on the phone with family and friends.
Charlotte's life was characterized by her love for God, family, and country. Her passion was that ALL would come to know God's love and salvation through His Son, Jesus Christ.
Charlotte will be greatly missed by family and friends. She is survived by her beloved husband, Ron; daughter, Charon (Lyle) Benson of Jenison, Michigan; daughter-in-law, Kelly Nagy and children, Stephen and Samantha, of Northview, Michigan; grandsons, Benjamin, Gregory, and Isaac Benson, all of Grand Rapids, Michigan.
Charlotte is preceded in death by her parents; son, Gregory; and sister Marion Bowie.
Family and friends will gather for visitation, from 9:30-11:00 AM, on Wednesday, September 11, 2024, at Wagner and Walsh Funeral Directors, 143 Lake Street, Roscommon, Michigan 48653. The Funeral will be at 11:00 AM, on Wednesday, September 11, 2024, also at the funeral home.
For a private family graveside, Charlotte will be laid to rest at Gerrish Township Cemetery, Roscommon, Michigan.
Considering Charlotte had an absolute passion for flowers, the family requests that everyone who is wanting to send a tribute for Charlotte, that they please do so by sending flowers.
