Charlotte M. Roy, 88, united with the Lord on April 18, 2025. She was born on March 12, 1937, in St. Benoit de Packington, Quebec, to Willie and Marie (Theriault) Pelletier.
She married Jean Charles Roy in 1961 in Montreal and moved to the Biddeford area in 1963. Over the years, she worked in local shops including Nike Shoe, Westland Shoe, the Pepperell, FMI, and retired from Pratt & Whitney.
Charlotte was a member of Good Shepherd Parish and volunteered at church funeral luncheons, known for her carrot cakes and chocolate chip cookies. She enjoyed many hunting seasons with her husband and sons, fishing trips to northern Canada, and time at the family camp on Embden Pond.
She was the last surviving sibling of her family.
She was predeceased by her son Rene Roy in 2024 and her grandson Jason Roy in 2017.
Charlotte is survived by her husband, Jean Charles Roy; her children: Rejean Roy and wife Doreen of Biddeford, Michael Roy and wife Robin of Saco, Jean Roy and wife Kelly of Lyman, Marc Roy and wife Michelle of Biddeford, and Lisa St. Louis and husband Jamie of Biddeford. She is also survived by Elaine Dequasie (surviving partner of her late son Rene Roy); 20 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and one soon-to-be great-grandchild.
Visitation will be held on Monday, April 28, 2025 from 4-7:00PM at Hope Memorial Chapel, 480 Elm Street, Biddeford, Maine 04005. A Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, April 29, 2025 at St. Joseph Church in Biddeford, ME at 11:00 am. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery.
