Mrs. Charlotte Yarborough Tuttle “GG”, 94, passed away on August 18, 2025, at King Health & Rehab center. She was born on March 11, 1931, in Durham to the late Walter Graves Yarborough and Hattie Craver Yarborough. Charlotte retired from Hanes Brands after 50 years of service as an inspector. She was a member of Rural Hall Christian Church for most of her life and attended as long as her health would allow. Charlotte enjoyed cooking, baking, and admiring the beautiful flowers in her yard. She loved to go on her two-mile daily walks as long as she was able. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William “Bill” Lester Tuttle, three sisters; Nancy, Alice, and Matilda, seven brothers; Jim, Rock, Bill, Gordon, Robert, Dan, and Hike, and one son-in-law, George “Butch” Watkins. She is survived by one daughter, Sylvia Watkins, one grandson, Bradley Watkins (Kristi), two great-grandchildren, Dylan and Caden Watkins, three great-great-grandchildren; Kai, Leo, and Ivy, and several nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday August 23, 2025, at Rural Hall Christian Church with Wesley McCarter, minister and Peter Cain, minister officiating. Mrs. Tuttle will lie in state for viewing an hour prior to the service at the church. The family will receive friends following the service. A private burial will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Rural Hall Christian Church Youth Program at P.O. Box 146 Rural Hall NC, 27045.
