The Metro Nashville Police Department (MNPD) reports the shooting happened around midnight on Tuesday morning. First responders found a woman who had been shot when they arrived at the scene. She was taken to a hospital where she was later declared dead.
MNPD has identified the woman as 34-year-old Charmaine Goodloe, who was shot outside of her apartment per police. She was struck multiple times in her legs and died from her injuries at the hospital.
MNPD says that they found 58 shell casings during their investigation. They do not know if this was a targeted shooting at this time. Police ask anyone with information to call Crime Stoppers at 615-742-7463. Callers to Crime Stoppers can remain anonymous and qualify for a cash reward of up to $5,000 in homicide cases.
