A Celebration of Life will take place on Friday, October 14, at 2:00 PM at Covenant Church. Visitation will be held on Friday from 12:30-2:00 PM at the church.
Chase, son of Jodie and Kim Cobb, was born on January 29, 2004, in Pitt County. He graduated from JH Rose High School in 2022 and was presently attending Pitt Community College. Chase played baseball all of his life and finished his baseball career with JH Rose High School Baseball team. When he wasn't studying, he was working or spending time with his friends. Chase was a caring person who would do anything for his friends and others whom he did not know. He was motivated, hardworking, and had a funny sense of humor. Chase was loved by all who knew him including his coaches, family, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, HG and Jean Cobb; his maternal grandma, Pat Strike; and his uncle, Bud Cobb.
In addition to his parents, Chase is survived by his brother, Ty Cobb; grandmother, Barbara Yarber of Apex; his grandpa, Steve Yarber of Durham; his grandpa, Eldon Strike and his wife, Jane, of Rocky Mount, VA.; several cousins and a host of friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Young Life at PO Box 5184 Harlan, IA 51593-0684. Please make sure to write "Pitt County Young Life" in the memo.

Chase was such a charming and intelligent young man. I used to take him to my own son´s baseball games where he was in his happy place. My prayers for his family and friends.

Your family is in my thoughts and prayers. I was Chase´s first grade teacher and will always remember his sweet smile! He was the master of all challenges, accelerated reading and sparkle. He was kind and respectful to his teachers and fellow classmates. I am so sorry for your loss. Big hugs
