Chasity Nichole Stephens, 21, of DuPont, passed away Wednesday morning, May 22, 2024, at Memorial Health in Savannah after a sudden illness. She was born in Waycross to Charles Chris Stephens, Jr. and Betty Carolyn Royals Stephens. Chasity was a 2021 graduate of Clinch County High School and was in the Clinch County Band of Pride Color Guard. She wanted to go to culinary school, she was a class clown, and a great cook. Chasity was pure of heart, she had a selfless soul and the spirit of an angel. She was always putting others before herself, trying to help in anyway should. She was a kindred spirits who could uplift any sad soul by coping with them in which ever way they needed, whether it was jokes, playing, listening, talking,, silence, or cooking you your favorite food. My Beautiful Chassy Bug was Loved so very much by so many and will forever be in all of our hearts and memories.
She was preceded in death by her father, Charles Chris Stephens, Jr.; maternal grandmother, Hazel Harrell; paternal grandfather, Chris Stephens; paternal grandmother, Claire Stephens; maternal great grandfather, Edward Royals; paternal great grandparents, Idell and Bennie Stephens.
Survivors include her mother, Betty Carolyn Royals Stephens of DuPont; step-father, Eric Thomas of St. Mary's, GA; two brothers, Charles Chris Stephens, III “Dozer” (fiancé Allison Strickland) of Waycross and James Cameron Stephens Royals of DuPont; maternal grandfather, Hank Royals of DuPont, paternal grandmothers, Lana Stephens of Waycross and Zell Thomas of St. Mary's, GA; maternal great-grandmothers, Betty Royals of DuPont and Alice Harrell of Waycross; paternal great grandmother, Mary Tyre of Waycross; special aunt, Mary Anderson “Aunt P” and her son, Nathan Anderson; two special uncles, Frank Royals and W.J. Royals both of DuPont; numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
A funeral service will be held Saturday morning, May 25, 2024, at 11 am at the Roundtree Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in North Cemetery in DuPont.
The family will receive friends from 10 am until 11 am Saturday morning at the funeral home.
