Mrs Cheradyn Denine Kernal-Rojas

Cheradyn Denine Kernal-Rojas, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt, and cherished friend, passed away peacefully in her home in Lubbock, Texas, on July 16, 2025, at the age of 61. Born on April 10, 1964, in Prague, Oklahoma, Cheradyn touched the lives of everyone she encountered with her warmth, kindness, and infectious spirit. Cheradyn was profoundly devoted to her family. She is survived by her loving husband, Martin Rojas, and her daughters, Ashley Ramos, Avery Carrillo, Deborah Kirkpatrick, Jennifer McWhinney, Amanda Haden, and Sherry Long. Cheradyn also leaves behind her father, Gene Kernal (Burma Kernal), her sisters Allison Jackson and Stephanie Kernal, her brothers Stephen Smotherman and Todd Kernal, along with her fifteen cherished grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren. Cheradyn was spoiled by family who often spent time together getting manicures and pedicures. She was known for attending all the many events of her grandchildren. Her enjoyment for music, singing, and dancing was evident to all who knew her. Halloween, Christmas, and family birthday gatherings were her favorite holidays, where she created unforgettable memories surrounded by her loved ones. One of her favorite pastimes included watching "The Voice" and spending time with her husband watching movies. Cheradyn truly left a lasting mark on everyone she met. Her smiling face, generous heart, and exuberant spirit will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. She was a dedicated office manager who spent her career working in the printing industry. In a celebration of her life, a visitation will be held at Sanders Memorial Chapel on July 21, 2025, from 6:00-8:00 PM, where family and friends will gather to honor her memory. A funeral service will take place at Sunset Church of Christ on July 22, 2025, at 10:00 AM, followed by her burial at Resthaven Memorial Park. As we remember Cheradyn, let us celebrate the joy, love, and laughter she brought into our lives. Her spirit will live on in our hearts, forever inspiring us to cherish every moment with our families and to approach life with the same enthusiasm that she exemplified. Cheradyn was preceded in death by her mother: Alice Adams Smotherman.
