Cherry Lynn Forkner, 73, of Arlington, Texas passed from this life on September 21, 2025 in Mansfield Texas. Cherry was born November 29, 1952 in Coffeyville, Kansas to her parents Orval C. and Mary Ellen (Bendure) Martin. She Married Michael L. Forkner on June 21, 1969 at the Methodist Church in Bartlett, Kansas. She retired from Remax Pinnacle as an office administrator. Cherry is preceded in death by her parents, Orval and Mary Ellen Martin. Brother Larry Martin. Sisters, Margaret Birchfield, Shirley Ungles, Patricia Uhrich. Cherry is survived by husband Michael (Mike) Forkner. Daughter Shena Hardy and husband Bryan. Son, Joseph Forkner. Grandson Brennan Hardy all of Arlington Texas. Sister, Virginia Ness of Bartlesville, Oklahoma. Stepsister Carol Kasten and husband George of Columbus, Mother-in-Law Eva Forkner of Columbus, Kansas. Sister-in-law, Susan Oplotnik and husband Dennis of Columbus, Kansas. Brother-in-laws; Ron Forkner and wife Cindy of Nevada Texas. Maurice Forkner and wife Sandra of Coffeyville Kansas. Carl (Wes) Ungles and wife Delores of Ulysses Kansas. Dave Uhrick of Columbus Ohio, and a special family friend, Betsy Koontz of Chetopa Kansas. Cherry loved traveling to see family and friends, as well she loved watching and working gymnastics meets that her daughter Shena were involved in. In addition, she loved to watch Joseph play baseball and basketball. Watching her grandson Brennan play hockey, baseball and perform in one act plays at his school were also a highlight of her life. Family and God were Cherry’s life.
