Cherry Luistro

Cherry Luistro, 56, of White Plains, NY, peacefully went home to Jesus with her loved ones by her side on July 31, 2023. For nearly two years, she displayed incredible courage in her battle against cancer.
Cherry was born on February 3, 1967 to Rufino and Glory in Batangas, Philippines. In 2015, Cherry and her sister Liza migrated to White Plains, NY. Prior to her diagnosis, she worked at Westchester Smile Design in Yonkers, NY.
Cherry was a spiritual woman who shared God's love with others. Despite her own illness, she still sought to spread positivity and words of encouragement to others. She was an inspiration to all who knew her and was loved and admired by many. The impact of Cherry's life will be felt for years to come.
Cherry's legacy will live on forever through the many bonds she shared and the memories of those who had the opportunity to know her. She was known for her love of sunflowers, which she fondly collected for its brightness and beauty. She had a passion and eye for floral arrangements and crafting.
While Cherry never married nor had her own children, she lived a full and vibrant life with her family and friends. Cherry's nephews, nieces, and grandniece meant more to her than words can describe. She found joy in caring and spending time with her family. She showered her nephews, nieces, and grandniece with gifts. She was everyone's "cool tita." She was generous with her love and time for others. She will be remembered as a loving daughter, sister, aunt, cousin, lola, and friend.
She is survived by her mother, Glory; her brothers Logie and Allan; and sisters Liza, Emma, and Sahra. She is predeceased by her father, Rufino.
Services will be held at Ballard-Durand in White Plains NY. Viewing will be held on Wednesday, August 2, 2023 at 4PM - 8PM; Thursday, August 3, 2023 at 4PM - 9PM. Funeral Service will be held at Ballard-Durand in White Plains, NY on Friday, August 4, 2023 at 10AM.
