Raymond Daniel Smith, a lifelong resident of White Plains, NY, passed away on November 14, 2025, at the age of 88. He was born on December 19, 1936, in Islip, NY.
Raymond proudly served his country in the U.S. Army as a Staff Sergeant during the Korean War. During his service, he received commendations from the Army Corps of Engineers as well as several Marksmanship Awards.
On March 3, 1962, he married the love of his life, Alicia, in Hartsdale, NY, beginning a devoted marriage that spanned more than six decades.
Raymond enjoyed a distinguished 40-year career as an executive with American Motors/Chrysler, retiring in 1995.
In addition to his wife Alicia of White Plains, he is survived by his children, Raymond D. Smith Jr. of Milford, CT, and Susan A. (Alan) Lethbridge of Lake Mary, FL. He also leaves behind his cherished grandchildren-Alicia Laurenceau, Julia Newell, and Alan Lethbridge Jr.-and his beloved great-grandchildren: Leia, Lana, and Lydia Laurenceau, and Owen, Olivia, and Oliver Newell.
Known affectionately as Danny to all who knew him, he will be remembered as a deeply generous and giving man with a lifelong passion for cars. He was an avid New York Mets fan and found joy in watching classic films.
