She was born in Olivia, MN, on May 16, 1944, the daughter of Frank and Margaret (Gehrt) Marks. She married Howard Anthony Monnens on April 17, 1971. When she was younger, she was active at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Savage. Cheryal enjoyed the outdoors, being with friends, and she was very involved and loved her grandchildren very much.
Cheryal will be missed by so many, including her children, Peter (Selena) Monnens and Nicole Monnens; grandchildren, Brock Monnens-Goar, Brooke Goar, Ariana Monnens and Bailey Monnens-Dahl; brothers and sisters. She was preceded in death by her husband, Howard; and siblings.
Visitation Thursday, February 20, 2025 from 4-7 PM at McNearney-Schmidt Funeral and Cremation, 1220 3rd Ave. E., Shakopee, 952-445-2755. Visitation also Friday, February 21, from 10-10:45 AM followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 11 AM both at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 4625 W 125th St., Savage, MN.
Interment at a later date at St. John the Baptist Catholic Cemetery, Burnsville, MN.
