Cheryl Lynn Bell, age 59 of Hyde Park, passed away on October 3, 2025, at Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital in Boston, the city where she was born on October 1, 1966. Cheryl's journey through life was marked by her unwavering devotion to her family, her imaginative spirit, and her capacity to infuse warmth into the lives of all who knew her.
Raised in the heart of Hyde Park, Cheryl's early education at St. Clare's School in Roslindale laid the foundation for her nurturing character and her penchant for creating beauty in the world. As a wife, her love was the ultimate support for Kenneth M. Bell, her husband, who found in her a partner of unparalleled care and kindness. Cheryl's role as a mother was performed with a perfect blend of strength and tenderness, guiding Courtney Walker and her husband Michael of West Roxbury, Brett Bell and his partner Brian of Hyde Park, and Thomas Bell and his wife Paulina of Savin Hill, through the tapestry of life with grace and wisdom. She took every opportunity to tell the world that she had "three great kids!"
The joys of grandmotherhood were bestowed upon Cheryl with the arrival of her granddaughters, Maddie and Lily Grace Walker. The love she held for her grandchildren knew no bounds, and each moment spent with them was a treasure she cherished deeply. Cheryl's bond with her family extended to her brother, Stephen Spardella, and she carried the memory of her late sister, Doris Newberry, in her heart with loving remembrance.
Cheryl's life was characterized by a profound love that she expressed through her creative endeavors. Her artistic talents shone brightly in her scrapbooking, one of many hobbies that she transformed into a beloved enterprise, "CBT Creations," named affectionately after the initials of her children. Her handmade cards were heartfelt missives that celebrated special moments with a personal touch that only Cheryl could provide. Knitting was yet another avenue through which Cheryl conveyed her love, creating cozy tokens of affection that wrapped her loved ones in comfort and care.
To describe Cheryl as loving barely scratches the surface of the profound empathy and compassion that emanated from her being. She was a beacon of love, a wellspring of creativity, and a cornerstone of her family. Her legacy is etched in the lives she touched, the memories she crafted, and the unwavering love that will continue to resonate in the hearts of those she left behind.
Cheryl's life story is one of unwavering dedication to the ones she held dear, a narrative woven with threads of joy, creativity, and an abundance of love. As we bid farewell to this remarkable woman, we are comforted by the knowledge that her spirit lives on in the cherished memories she has left us and in the enduring bonds of family and friendship that she fortified throughout her life. Cheryl Lynn Bell will be profoundly missed, yet her luminous legacy will forever illuminate the paths of those she loved.
