Cheryl Lee Fletcher, age 71, of Carrollton, Texas passed away on August 1, 2025, in Plano, Texas. She was born on February 25, 1954, to Phyllis Ann (Hamilton) and Darwin Kent York in Hawthorne, California. On August 7, 2010, Cheryl married Mathey Joe Fletcher, Jr. in Burleson, Texas.

Cheryl is survived by her husband, Joe Fletcher of Carrollton, Texas; her children, Chad Michael Rives and his spouse Erin of Kansas City, Missouri, Kenneth Ryan Taggart and his spouse, Kirsten of Denver, Colorado, Tyler Wayne Taggart and his spouse, Justin Wade Lupo of Denver, Colorado, Jeffrey Kyle Fletcher and his spouse, Amanda of Lucas, Texas, Leanne Michelle Benegalia and her spouse, Matt of Denver, Colorado; her four grandchildren, Caden Adamek Rives, Kenneth Royce Taggart, Clayton Elliot Taggart, Hayley Greer Taggart; her siblings, Patricia Ann York of San Antonio, Texas, Lesley Lynn Lewis and her spouse, Jim of Frisco, Texas, Elizabeth Carol Tessier and her spouse, Bob of Swanton, Vermont, Eileen Frances Edelmayer and her spouse, Eric of Sacramento, California; her nieces and nephews, Emery, Danielle, Lauren, Emily, Megan, Richard, Phillip, Chelsea, Alex, and Peter.

Cheryl was preceded in death by her parents, Phyllis Ann and Darwin Kent York; her brother, Douglas Kent York.

Cheryl left behind many dear friends with whom she formed cherished friendships and created lasting memories.

A Celebration of Life will be held at THE Berkshire Chapel, 9073 Berkshire Drive, Frisco, Texas 75033, on Wednesday, August 6, 2025, at 4:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Cheryl's honor to K9s For Warriors, https://k9sforwarriors.org/
