Cheryl Sue Haskell
Cheryl Sue Crocker was born on February 15, 1948, to Clarence and Viola Crocker in Portland, Oregon. She joined an older brother Larry, and the family lived in the Woodstock area of SE Portland.
She attended Woodstock Elementary School and graduated from Franklin High School in 1966.
On January 18, 1969. she married Robert Haskell of Portland OR, at the Woodstock Church of God. They lived in Alameda, California until Bob completed his military service. Upon returning to Portland, they started a family which eventually included Sean, Nicole, Justin, and Shannon. They raised their family in Milwaukie, Oregon, and when the children were grown, she and Bob moved to Oregon City, Oregon.
She graduated from Warner Pacific College with a Bachelor of Arts in Religion in 1989. She obtained a Master of Arts in Marriage and Family Therapy degree from George Fox University's Western Evangelical Seminary in 1998. She was ordained by the Church of God (Anderson, IN) in 1995.
She served in ministry at several churches, including Sonrise Church of God and Holladay Park Church of God. She was active in the Association of the Churches of God-Oregon and Southwest Washington. She served on the Christian Education Board and directed the children's programs at the Association's annual camp meeting for 25 years.
Cheryl enjoyed camping, going to Disneyland, reading, word puzzles, jigsaw puzzles and playing card games. But the greatest joy of her life was spending time with her granddaughters, Flora, Olivia, Vera, Leah, Dorothea, and Elizabeth.
Cheryl passed away July 19, 2025, surrounded by her husband and children.
