Cheryl Ann Johnson, 70, of Bloomington Indiana, passed away Sunday evening, December 28, 2025 at her residence.

She was born in Madison, Indiana to Hubert Nathan Brooks and Donna K. Robison Brooks. Cheryl's family moved to Bloomington where she attended Dyar Middle School, and was a 1973 graduate of Bloomington High School South. She went on to get her bachelors degree in education at Indiana University.

Her professional career was spent with Indiana University, first of all as a grant specialist and later as the office manager in the business office of the Department of Chemistry

In July 1975, she married Russell Michael Johnson better known as Mike.

Cheryl was involved in many and varied activities throughout her years. She thoroughly enjoyed camping and gardening, her Cavalier King Charles Spaniels, utilizing her creativity in creating stained glass and polymer clay objects of art and was most fervently involved with the Bloomington Spinnnig and Weaving guild.

She leaves behind her husband of 50 years Mike Johnson, her brothers Matthew Brooks (Lori) and Troy Brooks (Fritzi). She was preceded in death by her parents, Hubert and Donna Brooks and an infant brother who passed away shortly after his birth.
