Mark Edward Hardy passed away on February 3, 2026 in Bloomington, IN at the age of 71 surrounded by family. He is proceeded in death by his parents (William Edward Hardy and Lovecia Mae (Adkins) Hardy, sister - Linda Easter and granddaughter, Haley Aaron Hardy.

He was a graduate of Bloomington High School South class of 72' after graduation he married Cynthia Jolly. He was a hard worker and spent of his life as painter and then on a team that provided weatherization services for those in need. He was a softball coach for a number of years with Girls Inc, played in the mens softball league for the Eagles and avid horse shoe player.

He was a member of the Eagles Fraternal Order in Bloomington for 40 years, where he served as a Trustee in his earlier years, along with a number of other rolls. The members of the Eagles were a second family to him. He was also a member of the American Veterans of Monroe County.

Mark was a loving father to Christina Hardy of Bloomington; Marcus Hardy of Bloomington, William Hardy (Michelle) of Bowling Green, IN and Julie Torres of Bloomington IN. Proud Papaw to Haley Hardy, Kaylee Sims, Shayla Gale, Isaiah Southern, Ashley Hardy, Ally Kinser, Will Hardy, Nick Hardy, Kylie Torres and Anna Hardy.

He is survived by his children, grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren, his siblings Randy (Sande) Hardy of North Carolina; Lori (Tom) Collier of Bedford and Lee (Andy) Granger of Minnesota, along with many nieces and nephews.

When Mark was a child he had an accident that blinded one eye. However with his good eye, he keep it well trained on the ladies, along with the backs of his friends and family. He was a simple man who loved everyone and would give the shirt off his back to those in need.

We will have a Celebration of Mark's Life at the Eagles in Bloomington from 1 pm - 3 pm this Saturday, February 7, 2026. Everyone that knew Mark is welcome to attend. Allen Funeral Home is handling the arrangements, cremation rites have been accorded.
