Obituary
Cheryl A. Mantzouridis, of DuBois, Formerly of North Braddock and Irwin, age 62, passed away unexpectedly on July 30, 2023.
Cheryl was the beloved daughter of Marie (Kruszka) Bumba and the late Raymond Bumba.
Cheryl was the beloved mother of Kyriakos (Tiffany) Mantzouridis and the dear stepmother of Joe Morrow. Dear companion for over 20 years to Jack Morrow. She was formerly married to Petros Mantzouridis. Cheryl was the cherished sister of Kathy (Paul) Borkowski and Ann (Jay) Biehl, and the adored aunt of Alyssa (Rick) Riesenberger, Jake Borkowski, and Cassie Biehl. Her family was the cornerstone of her life, and she cherished every moment spent with them.
In 1979, Cheryl graduated from St. Thomas High School and then attended Bradford Business School. Cheryl's professional journey was marked by her 43-year tenure serving as supervisor at Markovitz Dugan & Associates (Bodine Perry, CPA) in Pittsburgh. Her dedication to her work was evident in her long-standing service, and she was highly respected by her colleagues and peers. Outside of her professional life, Cheryl had a deep passion for cooking, baking, gardening, and crafting. She was an avid reader, often losing herself in the pages of a good book. Her weekends were filled with antiquing adventures with her longtime companion, Jack Morrow, attending classic rock concerts, and observing wildlife in DuBois. Cheryl's love for the Halloween season was evident in her elaborate decorations at her home in Irwin, which were always a sight to behold. She was also a passionate fan of Elvis Presley.
Cheryl was also a devoted pet lover, providing a warm and loving home for many pets throughout her life. She shared a special bond with each of them, and their companionship brought her immense joy.
Cheryl's life was a testament to her loving, friendly, and thoughtful nature. She touched the lives of many with her kindness, unique sense of humor, and her warmth. Her memory will continue to live on in the hearts of all those who knew her.
Friends are welcome Friday from 2-8 p.m. at Patrick T. Lanigan Funeral Home & Crematory; 1111 Monroeville Ave.; Turtle Creek, PA 15145; (412) 823-9350, where a Blessing Service will be held Saturday at 11:30 a.m.
