Cheryl M. (Harbeck) Pyle, age 96, of Nashua, New Hampshire died March 1, 2025 at the Premier Rehab and Healthcare Center. Mrs. Pyle was born April 23, 1928 in Peru, Illinois; daughter of the late Arthur and Pearl (Fiedler) Harbeck. She previously lived in the Rock Island-Moline area of Illinois, Springfield, Massachusetts and Racine, Wisconsin. She married Stewart C. Pyle in Peru, Illinois on June 2, 1951.
Cheryl was a graduate of Augustana College in Rock Island, Illinois. She worked as an Elementary School Teacher, Substitute Teacher, and Daycare Aid. She was a Girl Scout Leader for many years and was active in the Surrey Road Memorial School PTA while living in Springfield, MA. For several years, she worked in the office of the Diamond Match Division of Diamond International in Springfield, MA.
Cheryl was previously an active member of Bethesda Lutheran Church when she lived in Springfield and was a member of the Main Street United Methodist Church in Nashua. She belonged to the Nashua Senior Activity Center and former member of AARP Chapter 622. She was an avid reader and enjoyed genealogy and scrapbooking. Her family was the main focus of her life.
Cheryl is survived by her daughter, Kathryn Pyle of Lake Oswego, OR; son, James E. Pyle and wife, Mavis of Nashua, NH; a brother, Edward Harbeck and wife, Shirley of Rochester, Minnesota; three grandchildren: Meredith Krages of Lake Oswego, OR, Dr. Julie McGettrick and husband Tristan of Mohnton, PA, Kelly E. Brown and husband, Matthew of Milford, NH; two great-grandsons, Malcom Brown and Gavin Brown of Milford, NH, and several nieces, great-nieces and great-nephews. In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by her husband, Stewart C. Pyle.
