Cheryl Lynn Stewart, affectionately known to family and close friends as Lynn or BeBe, passed away peacefully on November 15, 2025. She was born in San Antonio to Lesbie Stewart and Elizabeth Moore Stewart on April 24, 1960.
Being the "middle sister" of four children with an age gap of 15 years, she developed a personality that reflected the brilliance of learning from her adult siblings while developing a caring yet "matter of fact" demeanor to help manage her baby sister.
Cheryl was accepted to St. Mary's Hall to begin her academic journey, but attended public school instead. She graduated from Highlands High School in 1978, where she established herself as an accomplished flautist and lettered in UIL music competitions. As a young adult, she established several long-life relationships with friends and began experimenting with still and motion photography. She went on to complete several courses in higher education.
Her work history included positions at Southwestern Bell/AT&T, Lewis Funeral Home, Mission Courier, Harcourt Assessment Services, and Amazon. As an accountant at several of these employers, she was able to implement innovations in accounting that enhanced the company's operations.
As the owner of CLS Photography, she was able to utilize her expertise as a photographer to capture the cherished memories of many special events, photograph and sell many of her still prints, and provide a visual chronology for the Stewart, Prescott, and Carson families. Her efforts provided a family connection that would not have existed but for her relationship with family members who had lost contact or were unknown to us. We considered her our family historian whose efforts connected several generations.
She jokingly referred to herself as the "crazy cat lady" of the Eastside. Many would agree as she provided resources to any stray that crossed her path. This was indicative of her loving spirit.
She is survived by: Elizabeth Moore Stewart (mother), Harold Stewart (Josephine), Lesa Maxey, Dell Davis (Walter), Lynora Rhoder , Jason Stewart, Raushanah DaVillier, Inecia Stewart, Sean Davis (Jachelle), Nedra Clark (aunt), a host of great nieces and nephews, cousins, friends, and colleagues.
