Martha Hernandez, beloved mother, daughter, sister, and friend, passed away surrounded by loved ones. She was born on June 10, 1951, in Guadalajara, Mexico, to Juan Sanchez and Esther Lomelí. The second to the youngest of eight children, Martha grew up in a large and loving family that shaped her deep sense of connection, humor, and warmth.
In the early 1980s, Martha moved to California, where she built a new life filled with love and purpose. It was there that she met Pedro Hernandez, with whom she shared three beautiful children: Maria Jose, Pedro, and Esther. A devoted stay-at-home mother, Martha dedicated her life to raising her family and creating a home filled with laughter, compassion, and care.
Those who knew Martha will always remember her for her incredible sense of humor, her kindness, and her unconditional love. She had a gift for making people feel welcomed and cherished — her laughter could light up any room, and her generosity touched everyone she met.
Martha is survived by her daughters, Maria Jose and Esther, and by her ex-husband, Pedro Hernandez. She will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Her memory will live on in the love she shared, the stories she told, and the lives she so beautifully touched.
