Cheryl Ward-Schultz Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Dusckas - Martin Funeral Home on Dec. 14, 2025.
Cheryl Ward-Schultz

Cheryl Ward-Schultz, age 70, of Erie, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 10, 2025, following an extended illness. Born in Erie on September 13, 1955, she was the second of 4 children to Alvin and Donna (Carey) Will. Cheryl was a 1974 graduate of Tech Memorial High School where she became a licensed beautician. On July 25, 1986, she married the love of her life Duane Schultz. She was employed as the assistant manager at JC Penney Salon until 2007, at which time she became program assistant at the Erie Family Center until her retirement in 2024. Cheryl truly lived life to the fullest. She was very petite but made a big impression on everyone she met and the lives she touched. She had many close friends and always kept a full social calendar, but also like meeting new people. Known for her impeccable sense of style, she was always perfectly dressed for every occasion. Her shopping trips were legendary. A very practical person, Cheryl knew how to laugh even when times were tough. Her laugh was contagious. She worked hard but knew how to relax and enjoy life, and looked forward to soaking up the sun and lounging in her pool every summer. Most of all, Cheryl loved her family. She was a devoted wife to her husband of 32 years, Duane Schultz. She was a wonderful and loving mother to her daughters, and was overjoyed when she became a grandmother to her three grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband of 32 years, Duane Schultz, parents Alvin and Donna Will, stepmother Marion Will, and sister Mary Beth Will. She is survived by her daughters; Lisa Schultz and Andrea (Andrew) Schultz Coyle; grandchildren Andrew Schultz, Ryan Coyle, and Alexa Coyle, siblings; Michael (Susan) Will, Scott (Robin) Will, Matthew (Leah) DiLoreto, Pam DiLoreto-Perino, Carolyn DiLoreto, Christopher DiLoreto, sister-in-law Mary Frances Schenley, brother-in-law Nathan (Cheryl) Schultz, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Friends may call at the Dusckas-Martin Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 4216 Sterrettania Rd. on Thursday, December 18, 2025 from 4 pm until the time of the Memorial Service at 7 pm. Private interment.
