Born in Miami, FL, she was raised in Brooklyn, NY, and lived in Staten Island, NY, before settling in Brick, NJ to raise her family. She relocated to Manahawkin, NJ in 2020 after retiring as a dedicated Registered Nurse from Community Medical Center in Toms River, NJ.
She is reunited in Heaven with her mother Joan M. (Lydon) Rodie, and her sister Kathy Susan Lepre.
Cheryl will be forever held and cherished in the hearts of her loving family, her husband of 29 years Thomas Manning, her daughter Brianna L. McKiernan, her son Trevor J. Manning, her beloved sister Joanmarie and her husband Guy Esposito, three beautiful granddaughters who affectionately knew her as "Emmi", Molly McKiernan, Shea McKiernan, and Tegan McKiernan, her rescue pup Bailey, as well as her nieces: Kaitlin Lepre, Anna Esposito, Laura Esposito, Angeleah Lepre, her nephew Liam Reddan, and many friends, all of whom she adored.
We will forever remember Cheryl's life with fondness in our hearts, she was a beacon of strength and resilience and will never be forgotten. Although we are sad to see her go, we are relieved that she is now resting in the sweetest of peace, in a place full of love and comfort that she always deserved.
The family will receive relatives and friends on Tuesday, September 24, 2024, from 2pm to 6pm at the Carmona Bolen Home for Funerals, 412 Main St., Toms River, NJ. A Funeral Service will be celebrated at the funeral home at 4:30pm. Condolences may be expressed by visiting www.carmonabolenfh.com.

Cheryl was an awesome nurse and friend. She always on her game. Loved working with her and always knew the right things to say in work and in our friendship. Going to miss her.
