Cheryle "Cherrie" Wall Yeager 82, our sweet mom, grammy (gram), sister, wife, and friend peacefully passed away on January 24, 2026 in the comfort of her home with her loving family.
Cherrie was born on March 28, 1943, in
Altamont, Utah to Leonard P. Wall and Vista Josephine Atwood. She was their youngest daughter. Cherrie grew up in Altamont on the family homestead, where she loved the outdoors and playing with her brothers, sisters, and friends.
When Cherrie was 18 years old she came to Salt Lake City to attend cosmetology school. That is when she met and married her first husband Reed Lloyd, later divorced. Together they had three sons, Doug, Darren, and Mike. She then met her loving husband John. John and Cherrie were married in Kawaihae, Hawaii on August 21, 1978., and forever sealed together on December 30, 2003.
Cherrie was a dedicated employee of the United States Postal Service for numerous years, where she served in many capacities, and made many friends. She retired after almost 30 years from her final position in the Human Resources department.
Cherrie loved her family, they often went camping together in their favorite locations such as Blacks Fork and Henry's Fork in the high Uintas. She hosted her family, twice a year, while she and John were at East Canyon Resort. This was one of her favorite places to spend time playing with her grandchildren. Swimming, Miniature Golf, and riding ATVs were preferred activities. They also played card games and board games. You could almost guarantee the person sitting by Grammy would be the winner. John and Cherrie liked to travel and they were able to visit many places together. They were able to cruise to the Carribean, fly to Alaska, and spend three weeks touring Europe. She was always excited to share their adventures when they returned home.
Our family would like to thank Dignity Hospice, Dr. Tschetter, nurse Heather, Landree, Carmen, and Brooklyn for their loving care through this challenging time. We could not have done it without their dedication and support. We would also like to express our appreciation to the many neighbors, friends, and family that conveyed their love and support.
Cherrie is survived by her loving husband John, sons Doug Lloyd, Darren Lloyd, Mike (Shelly) Lloyd, two sisters, two brothers, nine grandchildren, ten great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by; her parents, three sisters, one brother, and one great grand child, sweet Dash.
