Chet Baczkowski

Chet M. Baczkowski, 76, of Berkeley Heights, NJ passed away on Monday, June 26, 2023 at his residence.
Chet was born in Kolberg, Germany on February 28, 1947. He was the son of Mary (nee Rzowska) and John Baczkowski. At the age of two he moved to the United States and lived in Hillside and Newark until moving to Irvington. He later moved to Berkeley Heights where he was a longtime resident. Chet was employed as an Electrical Engineer at the Infinity Company until his retirement. He was an avid reader and enjoyed fishing, boating and spending time at the family's shore house on the Toms River Lagoon.
Chet is survived by his beloved wife of 50 years, Linda (nee Gaeta) Baczkowski, his loving sons, Chet J. Baczkowski, Jr. (Alexandra) and Gerard Baczkowski (Erica). He was the brother of John M. Baczkowski and cherished grandfather of: Nicholas, Tony, Madyson, Milana, Anthony, Eva and Jackson. Chet is also survived by a host of loving sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law and his nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation on Thursday, June 29th from 4:00-8:00 PM at Paul Ippolito Berkeley Memorial, 646 Springfield Ave, Berkeley Heights, NJ. The Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Friday, June 30th at 10:00 AM at the Church of the Little Flower, Plainfield Ave, Berkeley Heights, NJ. Interment will follow at Gate of heaven Cemetery, East Hanover, NJ.
